CARMEL, Ind. -- Michael Makris tied for 14th place to lead the Ball State men's golf team at this week's Crooked Stick Invitational.
The Cardinals finished the event Tuesday in 10th place with a 54-hole total of 893 (+29) at Crooked Stick Golf Club. BSU dropped one spot on the leaderboard with a final-round 302.
Makris and Timothy Wiseman each shot 74 to lead Ball State on Tuesday, while the team also counted a pair of 77's from Jack Cunningham and Johnny Watts.
Makris overcame a triple-bogey start to his round by playing 1 under the rest of the way to finish with a three-round score of 218 (+2).
