NASHPORT, Ohio -- The Ball State men's golf team maintained its position Saturday at the Mid-American Conference Championships. The Cardinals never moved out of second place and will enter the final round trailing only Kent State.
Michael VanDeventer led the way Saturday with a 71 (-1) at The Virtues Golf Club. Ball State also counted 73's from Johnny Watts and Timothy Wiseman and a 77 from Michael Makris on the way to a score of 294 (+6) for the day.
The Cardinals ran their 54-hole total to 876 (+12).
