ELKHART, Ind. -- Five Ball State men's golfers placed among the top 12 this week at the Indiana Amateur Championship at Elcona Country Club.
Rising junior Johnny Watts tied for sixth place at 8 over par after closing with a 70 in Thursday's final round. Classmate Michael VanDeventer did him one better on the last day, matching the low round of the tournament with a 69 to move into eighth place at 9 over par.
Rising sophomore Tyler Pearson (+10) tied for ninth, while rising juniors Michael Makris (+11) and Keegan McKinney (+11) tied for 12th.
