PARKER CITY, Ind. — When the national anthem was being sang at Monroe Central, an old sensation came over Matt Moulton.
It was a sensation that any athlete, or former athlete, will know. That feeling right before competition, in those precious moments before the fans start cheering and the coach pulls the team over to try and squeeze in some final game preparation.
The first-year Yorktown coach felt as if he was gearing up to play in the game himself. The memories of the dozens of times he suited up in a Golden Bears' uniform and put up 1,824 points from 1987-1991 came flooding back.
