SAVANNAH, Ga. – In the first-ever meeting between the two programs, the Ball State baseball team earned a 7-3 win at Savannah State Tuesday evening at Tiger Field. The two teams will play another game tomorrow night.
Senior pitcher Matt Haro gave Ball State (6-7) a solid outing on the mound. After junior Kevin Marnon pitched a scoreless first inning, Haro held Savannah State (4-9) in check the ensuing six innings. The lefty struck out seven batters, allowed just four hits and did not give up any earned runs.
On the offensive side, junior Alex Call made the most of batting in the leadoff position for the first time this season.
