TOLEDO, Ohio -- Michael Makris fired a final-round 69 (-2) Tuesday to lead the Ball state men’s golf team and move into the top 25 at the Inverness Intercollegiate.
The Cardinals finished in a tie for 11th place as a team at the Inverness Club. They also counted a 72 from Timothy Wiseman, a 75 from Michael VanDeventer and a 76 from Johnny Watts in the closing round. The Cardinals shot 292 for the day to finish with a 54-hole score of 888.
Auburn came from three shots back entering the day to win by three with a total of 843 (-9).
