After leading Ball State softball with a .345 batting average this season, utility player Madison Lee earned a spot on the Mid-American Conference All-Freshman team.
Lee started 50 games for the Cardinals, including all 24 MAC games, splitting time between first base (7 starts), catcher (14 starts) and designated player (29 starts).
She also led Ball State batters with 49 hits, 24 walks and a .443 on-base percentage.
Lee's .991 fielding percentage on the team was also the highest mark among players with at least 100 chances.
