MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State broke multiple records in its 57-29 home-opening victory over Football Championship Subdivision opponent Fordham.
The Cardinals finished with 596 yards of total offense led by quarterback Drew Plitt, who went 32-of-40 through the air, found more than 10 different receivers, had 439 passing yards and six touchdowns in his effort. Six different Ball State players found the end zone in the game.
Riley Miller (six catches, 116 yards, two TDs) led the way for the Cardinals and was followed by Antwan Davis (five catches, 86 yards, two TDs), Justin Hall (six catches, 83 yards, one TD) and Cody Rudy (one catch, three yards, one TD).
