DJ Pointer says, "I'm kind of sad and torn apart. It's also what's keeping me together."

MUNCIE, Ind. — It’s 5:30 on Friday night and DJ Pointer is sitting on a couch in his east-side Muncie home. Instead of sitting on a bus with his teammates driving to Pendleton Heights for Central’s season-opener, he is watching season five of "Arrow" on Netflix.

It’s been one week since he broke his ankle in a preseason scrimmage at Delta and two days since his surgery.
