YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Francis Kiapway made a career-high seven 3-pointers Saturday at Eastern Michigan, but none was bigger than the last one.
Kiapway drilled a deep ball with 0.7 seconds left in the second overtime to lift the Cardinals to an 88-87 victory. It was a wild finish to a back-and-forth game.
“I thought we played the game the right way,” Ball State coach James Whitford said. “I thought our enthusiasm and focus from the beginning was right. We had our cracks to win the game, and I thought we did the right things down the stretch.
