MUNCIE, Ind. – Sam Hurt and Pete Schuler each notched two-run home runs to lead Kent State to a 9-4 win over the Ball State baseball team Sunday afternoon at First Merchants Ballpark Complex.
The Golden Flashes (15-6, 3-0 MAC) won all three games over Ball State (11-13, 0-3) in the Mid-American Conference series opener.
Kent State never trailed as the visiting team tallied two runs in the first and three more in the second to grab a 5-0 lead. Hurt hit a line drive shot over the left field wall in the second to make the score 4-0.
