MUNCIE, Ind. — Zach Garner spent the majority of his Friday night with the unenviable task of chasing around Luke Bumbalough, the state's second-leading scorer. So it wasn't a surprise to see him laying on the floor and getting treated for cramps late in the game.
Garner didn't score in Delta's 61-55, come-from-behind victory. He only averages 3.1 points per game. But the junior's work on the defensive end, namely helping hold Bumbalough to eight of his 34 points in the second half, was why Eagles coach Mark Detweiler named him first in his postgame interview.
