INDIANAPOLIS -- The goal now is to make sure what happened to him doesn’t happen to anyone else.
Former IndyCar and NASCAR driver John Andretti, who recently revealed to the world that he is fighting Stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to his liver, wants to turn his personal battle into a powerful message: If you are 50 years old or older, the time to get a colonoscopy was yesterday. Don’t put it off, Andretti urges. The routine procedure could save your life.
"You know, (getting a colonoscopy) is a nuisance," said John's cousin and Andretti Autosport team president Michael Andretti on Thursday at the team's Indianapolis headquarters.
