MUNCIE, Ind. — Less than a week after being designated for assignment, Jeremy Hazelbaker has a new organization.
The Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night traded the former Wapahani and Ball State star to the Tampa Bay Rays for cash considerations. Hazelbaker will report to Triple-A Durham. This move comes four days after being removed from the Diamondbacks' 40-man roster and offers the 30-year-old outfielder a fresh start after he didn't make the big league team out of spring training.
