TEMPE, Ariz. - Starting opening night against Stanford after a standout freshman season, showed the stuff that bode well for the Cardinals all season. The right-hander tossed 6.0 no-hit innings but a couple of timely runs and stellar pitching lifted Stanford past Ball State 2-1 Friday night.

Jameson struck out nine and as Ball State held the nationally-ranked Stanford club to just two base hits.
