MUNCIE, Ind. — June 8 was supposed to be the start of the IHSAA boys golf state tournament. With the cancellation of the spring sports, however, no golf course in Indiana will host sectional play that day.
But for high school boys golfers, there will still be a team state tournament, just not one that is run through the IHSAA.
Seven sites, including The Players Club in Yorktown, will host qualifiers for the Indiana 2020 Boys Team Championship. The unique, alternative, team-oriented summer tournament was created by the Indiana Golf Association with collaboration from coaches around the state.
