MUNCIE — Nathan Coe doesn’t believe in carb-loading.
The 35-year-old Parker City resident is gearing up to run in Saturday’s Ironman 70.3 Muncie — his first such event. Despite the stereotypes, Coe says he didn’t spend this week throwing down pasta and bread and every other carbohydrate he could find.
That’s the thing about Coe. He’s been following his own rules about running since he ran his first triathlon in the summer of 2014.
"A lot of people think I should use a coach, training for the full Ironman, but I don't,” Coe said. “I go with how I feel.
