At least 19 players with Indiana high school or college ties start the 2021-22 season on NBA rosters.
Five IndyStar Mr. Basketball winners are in the league — Eric Gordon, Cody Zeller, Gary Harris, Trey Lyles and Romeo Langford.
Indiana University is well-represented, with five players suiting up. Butler has two, and Purdue and Notre Dame one each.
Romeo Langford (New Albany, IU), Boston Celtics
The 21-year-old who earned IndyStar Mr. Basketball in 2018 after scoring 3,002 career points at New Albany is entering his third season with the Celtics. The one-year IU star and 2019 first-round NBA Draft pick is still fighting for a spot in Boston's rotation.
