MUNCIE, Ind. — When Reggie Jones picked Western Michigan over Ball State coming out of high school, the 2016 Marion High School graduate felt he was making the best decision for himself at the time.
Jones says now, looking back, that the choice may have been a mistake. The 3A state champion with Marion in 2016 would only spend two seasons with WMU, at one point in 2018 dropping 20 points in a game on BSU, before transferring to Tulsa. He wanted to play in a conference with a higher profile that would afford him the opportunity to play against more high-profile opponents.
