MUNCIE, Ind. — Mike Neu said Wednesday he’s never been one to get caught up in the ratings of the recruits he signs.
Ball State’s head football coach made clear he intends to bring in the best players he can. He identifies their talent. He analyzes their character. He studies who they are as students. And so, when faced with the reality the Cardinals’ 2020 recruiting class boasts a higher average rating per recruit by 247Sports — as it stands at 15 commits — than any other he has had since he took over at Ball State, Neu quickly directed praise to his staff.
