MUNCIE, Ind. — A few hundred fans, Ball State players, coaches and administrators along with a contingent of media members gathered inside the Dr. Don Shondell Practice Center Wednesday to officially welcome in Michael Lewis as Ball State men's basketball coach.
Less than two weeks earlier, it was announced Lewis would take over as Ball State's head coach after James Whitford was fired shortly after the Mid-American Conference tournament. Lewis has been busy since then, introducing himself to the team, bringing back a few players who entered the transfer portal and figuring out who will serve as assistants on his coaching staff.
