MUNCIE, Ind. — The Indiana High School Athletic Association baseball season is right around the corner and, according to coaches around the state, there are high expectations surrounding several teams in East Central Indiana.
Two area teams earned the No. 1 spot in their respective divisions in the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association preseason poll, which was released Monday.
Daleville and Monroe Central came in at No. 1 in Class A and 2A, respectively. Wapahani (tied for No. 6 in 2A) and New Castle (No. 7 in 3A) also earned top-10 spots in their respective classes.
