MARION, Ind. — It wasn't a high-flying start by any means, but the Delta boys basketball eventually settled in and showed why it is the No. 1 team in the state.
Leading by just one midway through the second quarter, Delta closed the first half with 13 straight points on its way to a 54-28 victory over Tippecanoe Valley on Saturday in the Marion Regional semifinals.
The top-ranked Eagles (27-0) will meet Marion (18-7) on Saturday night., which dispatched Angola 58-39 earlier Saturday.
