UPDATE: The high school basketball tournament is postponed indefinitely.
The Indiana High School Athletic Association announced at noon that due to the number of schools closing for an extended period of time, the tournament cannot be completed as scheduled. At least two of the regional sites had changed due to sites that were unwilling or unable to host games due to the coronavirus outbreak.
“The association will continue to evaluate the utility of continuing the boys basketball tournament at a later date and will inform our member schools and the public as soon as a definitive decision can be reached,” IHSAA commissioner Bobby Cox said in a video statement.
