GASTON, Ind. — Wes-Del football coach Brad Hess didn’t expect to see what happened Friday during a home matchup against Tri.
Hess said his Warriors came into the game anticipating a close contest against the Titans. A battle like that would have resembled what the last four meetings between the two programs, none of which were decided by more than eight points. But as Hess stood on the field after the game, as he spoke to his team, all the Warriors players, coaches and fans had to grapple with a 43-point defeat — their worst since Sept. 2018.
