PARKER CITY — Logan Swallow puts his head down during the face-offs that come before championship wrestling matches.
Being a heavyweight, the Monroe Central senior is always one of the last two wrestlers to be introduced. Class by class, competitors come off the mat after the public address announcer reads off their records and notable achievements. Behind them, Swallow slowly creeps toward the center, secretly dreading the moment when his name gets called.
It's almost fitting that Swallow is one of the last to be introduced because he's achieved more — both on-and-off the mat — than most.
