MUNCIE, Ind. — Yorktown continued its surge to start the season, sweeping Wapahani in impressive fashion (25-11, 25-14, 25-12) on Tuesday night.
The Class 4A No. 1 Tigers (11-0) have won all 29 sets this season and climbed to No. 9 in MaxPreps' national rankings.
Kenzie Knuckles racked up 11 kills and 11 digs to pace Yorktown. Tegan Seyring added eight kills, while Ellie Miller and Courtney Watkins added seven apiece. Kylie Murr paced the defensive effort with 18 digs, with Ellee Stinson contributing 11. Kate Vinson dished out 37 assists.
Wapahani's Estella Davis reached a milestone in defeat, tallying her 1,000th career kill.
