MUNCIE, Ind. — Wes-Del knocked off one of the hottest teams in the area Wednesday night, defeating Cowan in four sets 25-27, 25-19, 25-17, 26-24.
Aerionna Strahan led the Wes-Del attack with 15 kills, Cassy Wilson tallied six aces and Grace Bond led four players in double-figure digs with 15. Sarah Smoot guided the offense with 30 assists as the Warriors improved to 6-6.
Alexis Huff put down a match-high 20 kills for Cowan (9-3), which had beaten Daleville, Central and Monroe Central during a six-match winning streak. Morgan Roberts racked up 35 digs, and Sky Trimble added 35 assists and eight digs.
