MUNCIE, Ind. — Wapahani rebounded from a tough loss at Delta with a bounce-back win at Cowan on Wednesday, thanks to a gem from Brevan Rivers.
Rivers tossed a complete game shutout, striking out 11 while allowing just two hits and one walk to lower his ERA to 2.01. He out-dueled Cowan ace Jacob Clark, who entered the game having not allowed an earned run this season. Clark allowed six runs in five innings Wednesday, but only one of them was earned, and he currently has a 0.54 ERA.
Luke Willmann led the offensive charge for Wapahani (12-5) with two hits, two RBIs and a run, while Rivers added two hits of his own.
