MUNCIE, Ind. — Wapahani got the win and top billing in Class 3A, but a Burris star hit a milestone Thursday night.
The Raiders rolled past the Owls 25-20, 25-18, 25-16 as Skyler Van Note finished with 17 kills, Havyn Gates tallied 17 digs and Lexi Spence dished out 36 assists.
Burris junior MyKel Ivy, a Ball State recruit, tallied her 1,000th career kill in the loss. Yorktown junior Kenzie Knuckles also recently reached 1,000 for her career. Ivy finished with 13 kills on the night, while Kloie McGrew tallied team highs of 22 assists and nine digs.
