MUNCIE, Ind. — There are four baseball teams that have separated themselves as contenders in the Mid-Eastern Conference.
Two of them met on the diamond Wednesday, with Wapahani edging Daleville 2-1. And another, Monroe Central, rallied for a 7-3 win over Wes-Del.
Wapahani is now 5-0 in league play and 13-6 overall, while Monroe Central is 4-1 in the MEC and 14-3 overall. The teams will meet in the last game of the regular season. Shenandoah is also 5-0 in conference play.
Wapahani, Shenandoah, Monroe Central and Daleville are dominating the rest of the league, outscoring opponents 153-41.
