MUNCIE, Ind. — The thousands of fans that braved the weather and jammed into Blackford's gym Saturday night got their money's worth.
Luke Brown, the state's leading scorer, poured in 29 points to lead Blackford to a 55-40 victory over Jay County. While that's about seven below his average, he had 27 through three quarters. With the Bruins up 22 through three quarters, Brown only had two free throws in the fourth.
Brandon Stroble finished with 15 points as Blackford improved to 11-3. The Bruins jumped all over the Patriots (11-5), leading by 11 after one quarter and 16 at halftime.
