MUNCIE, Ind. — After some early-season struggles without its top player, Delta is finding its stride.
The Eagles won their eighth match in their last nine outings on Tuesday night, sweeping Central (25-14, 25-11, 25-14). After starting the season with a record of 6-8, Delta is now 14-9.
Ainzli Grismore led Delta with 10 kills, while Darian Barnard added nine, Mayzie Hinkle had eight and Chloe Coleman seven. Bella Dearinger dished out 26 assists, and Maggie Manor tallied 12 digs, with Natalie Zirkle finishing with four aces.
Delta has played this season without injured outside hitter Molly Hunt, a West Virginia recruit.
