MUNCIE, Ind. — Burris and Yorktown have hardly lost any matches this season, much less sets. Something will have to give Thursday when the teams meet at Burris.
On Tuesday, Class 3A No. 2 Burris (15-1) and Class 4A No. 1 Yorktown (17-0) successfully tuned up for the showdown with sweeps.
Burris rolled past Seton Catholic in three sets (25-7, 25-10, 25-9) as MyKel Ivy and Abigail Kesler each tallied 10 kills. Lauren Nixon, Katie Scott, Rory Powers and Miya Morrison each contributed six digs. Mara Perry totaled 27 assists, while Powers registered eight of the Owls' 23 aces.
