MUNCIE, Ind. — Jacob White is talking after an early-August practice about a day “many moons ago,” when his football career first began at Ball State. He’s talking about a slip of paper, and the two words he scribbled on it — a nickname he was asked to reveal.
“Wild boar.”
He chuckles.
So much has changed since White joined the program in 2015. There’s head coach Mike Neu, who took charge of the program one year after the now-redshirt senior linebacker arrived. There’s White’s hair, which he dyed red for his final fall camp with the Cardinals.
