Since Andrew Luck's retirement in 2018, the Colts have been in quarterback hell — and it's cost them a lot of money.
The team has spent $145 million on 12 quarterbacks since 2018. The most expensive of the bunch? One season of Philip Rivers in 2020 ($25 million), one season of Matt Ryan in 2022 ($24.7 million) and $21 million for one season of Carson Wentz in 2021 ($21.3 million).
Oh, and the team is still on the hook to pay Ryan a guaranteed $12 million in 2023. If he's released, he'll cost $18 million against the 2023 salary cap, a savings of $17,205,882.
