MUNCIE, Ind. — That offensive meeting this past spring, right before COVID-19 brought collegiate sports in this country to a halt in March, that was all Ball State football coach Mike Neu needed to know he’d made the right choice in promoting Kevin Lynch.
After the end of the 2019 season, Neu’s previous offensive coordinator — Kevin’s brother Joey Lynch — was hired away to Colorado State. Neu, for a number of reasons including Kevin’s performance as BSU’s recruiting coordinator and running backs coach in recent seasons, turned to Kevin to assume the role in a move that was announced in mid-January.
