MUNCIE, Ind. — Any plans high school athletes looking to play college sports had this summer have changed.
In-person visits have been replaced with virtual tours of campuses and athletic facilities. Meeting coaches and future teammates is being done over the phone or on video chat. Game tape has turned into posting short highlight clips to social media.
This is what the college recruiting looks like for student-athletes across the country. It's not ideal, especially for juniors who are in the most pivotal time in their recruiting process, but it's the situation they find themselves in.
In some ways, high school athletes are lucky.
