MUNCIE, Ind. — Amber Seaman, her teammates returning this season for another run with Ball State women’s volleyball, coach Kelli Miller Phillips and her staff, they all knew how critical it’d be to build chemistry with the newcomers joining them.
It always is. It’s necessary for both the present and future success of a program. But the conversations that started between players and coaches this spring took on a greater importance given the reality there would be nine freshmen joining the Cardinals. The group would represent half the 2019 roster.
And so, Seaman outlined Tuesday at Worthen Arena, that’s meant team-bonding exercises during practices.
