How Ball State's Riley Miller got the nickname 'GOAT'

MUNCIE, Ind. — In doing some interviews during Ball State football training camp, the Star Press indirectly discovered that Yorktown graduate Riley Miller – the former walk-on who is now Ball State’s leading receiver – had a nickname: GOAT.

If you’re not familiar with the term, it means "Greatest of All Time" and it is commonly thrown around in debates of MJ vs. LeBron, or Brady vs. Manning. It’s a term believed to be created by Muhammad Ali in 1992 and popularized in the last few years on ESPN and FS1 sports debate shows.

While Miller is not the greatest wide receiver of all time, he has earned the respect of his teammates in a particular area.
