MUNCIE, Ind. — The ceremonial groundbreaking for Ball State Athletics’ indoor practice facility had been scheduled to take place April 18, the day of the football team’s spring game.
There would have been an event open to the public. There would have been speakers, with contributors in attendance such as Peggy and Kenneth Briner, Daniel Towriss and members of the Scheumann family — the latter of which the Scheumann Family Indoor Practice Facility will named after. There would have been a reception.

And people could have watched the football team’s spring game, not to mention the Cardinals’ baseball and softball teams each play a home game that day, too.
