MUNCIE, Ind. — In the last four or five years, Monroe Central’s football program has become a “powerhouse," Jackson Ullom believes.
The junior quarterback points back to the Golden Bears’ undefeated regular season in 2016. He points back to the run to semi-state in 2017, when they finished 12-2 after going 11-1 the year before. Monroe Central has strung together seven straight winning seasons from 2013 to 2019, going 62-22 in that span, with two sectional titles and one regional championship in Class A postseason play.

But ahead of the 2020 season, Ullom has sensed there are those who are wondering if this is going to be the year when the program takes a step back.
