MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State men’s basketball’s 2020-21 season ended with an exit in the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference tournament, an overtime loss against top-seeded Toledo, that left head coach James Whitford's squad at 10-13 overall.
Since that day, there have been changes to BSU’s coaching staff and its roster. What the Cardinals will look like during the 2021-22 season, will be far different than it did this past season just based on personnel alone. How those changes translate to the performance of the team on the floor has yet to be determined in what will be Whitford's ninth season in charge.
