After seven seasons in the minor leagues, former Wapahani and Ball State baseball star Jeremy Hazelbaker is going to The Show.
According to reports, the St. Louis Cardinals informed the 28-year-old Thursday that he made the team's Opening Day roster. Hazelbaker could make his Major League debut Sunday in Pittsburgh as the Cardinals open the 2016 season against the Pirates.
Hazelbaker went 2 for 3 with a home run in the Cardinals' 9-1 victory over the Yankees on Thursday. Ruben Tejada's injury opened the door for Hazelbaker to make a big league roster for the first time in his career.
