Jeremy Hazelbaker was at the center of a benches-clearing brawl Tuesday night, and the former Wapahani and Ball State star even worked in a bat flip before charging the mound.
Playing with the Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, Hazelbaker was nearly hit in the head with a pitch from New Orleans' Jose Urena. After the pitch sailed to the backstop, Hazelbaker flipped his bat and started walking towards the mound. He was instantly ejected. It is worth noting that the New Orleans catcher had set up his glove below Hazelbaker's knees, and the pitch was not close to the target.
