There was a time this season bleak might have been a compassionate phrasing of Yorktown baseball's hopes come May. That is not the Tigers anymore.
“It was, I don’t know, just the type of thing that you think about, just get excited about, dream about watching county championships out on this field since I was seven or eight,” Smalstig said.
