PORTLAND, Ind. — Amy Dillon knows Jay County and she knows its volleyball program.
Dillon started playing for Jay County in seventh grade and graduated from the high school in 1996 before beginning her coaching career. Prior to taking a position at East Jay Middle School, Dillon spent time coaching at WAVE Volleyball Club and as an assistant alongside Biff Wilson at Delta before taking a position at East Jay Middle School.
Along the way, people always asked Dillon if coaching varsity would be something she wanted to do.
As a parent of three children who all play sports, she would tell those people no, knowing full-well the time commitment it takes to lead a varsity program.
