Former Indiana Hoosiers standout A.J. Guyton has joined Northwestern's men's basketball staff as a Director of Player Development.
"Back in the B1G Ten1," Guyton tweeted out Tuesday.
Guyton was a four-year starter (1996-00) and was voted the Big Ten Player of the Year by the media as a senior, averaging 19.7 points that season. He finished his career fourth on the school's all-time scoring list (2,100 points — behind only Calbert Cheaney, Steve Alford and Don Schlundt). Guyton's 283 made 3-pointers are most in school history (11 more than second-place Yogi Ferrell).
Guyton played briefly in the NBA before heading overseas.
