MUNCIE, Ind. — It's been a minute since we've heard from former Ball State coach Pete Lembo, who left the program after the 2015 season to be the special teams coordinator at Maryland.
Lembo, who went 33-29 at Ball State before taking a pay cut to be an assistant at Maryland, spoke to Associated Press college football writer Ralph Russo about the growing gap between Power Five and Group of Five schools.
Lembo told Russo that just getting black helmets at Ball State was a give-and-take process.
"And I would share that openly with our team," Lembo said.
