PARKER CITY — Sitting in his office just outside the main gym at Monroe Central High School, Justin Ullom struggles to describe this year's team.
But he keeps going back to one word: unique.
The sixth-year boys basketball coach certainly finds himself in a uncommon situation this season. He talks about the bond his players, who are laughing together as they walk out of the locker room post-practice, and coaches share. Like most coaches, Justin preaches a family mentality. That tight-knit bond can often be the difference between a winning team and a losing one.
